PRESIDENT  Michelle O’Connor

Michelle O’Connor

A dedicated and beloved member of the Chilmark Community Center family for many years. As a longtime Chilmark rsummer esident, Michelle served as the volunteer director of the Center for over a decade, shaping its culture with her warmth, leadership, and deep community spirit. Her commitment to youth development and community engagement is reflected in her own family: all five of her sons have attended CCC programs, and each has worked at the Center in various roles over the years. Michelle remains actively engaged with the CCC and is deeply committed to the Center’s Plan Going Forward, especially its focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Her contributions continue to help guide the Center toward a more welcoming and equitable future

VICE CHAIR Robin Rivera

Robin Rivera

Formerly an Emmy-winning producer and programming executive for ABC Sports, among other things, Robin Rivera continues to work on independent projects from her home in Chilmark. She currently sits on the boards of Sheriffs Meadow Foundation and the Chilmark Town Affairs Council and is - “finally”! - putting the finishing touches on her first novel. 

TREASURER Keith Fenner

Keith Fenner

Keith Fenner brings a deep commitment to community service and a strong financial acumen to his role as Treasurer of the Chilmark Community Center. A year-round resident of Martha’s Vineyard, Keith has been an active presence in island life for many years. His thoughtful stewardship and attention to detail help ensure the Center’s financial health and sustainability. Keith is passionate about supporting programs that strengthen community connections across all ages.

SECRETARY Morgan Baker

Morgan Baker

A life-long summer resident of Martha’s Vineyard – first in West Tisbury and then in Chilmark. Morgan’s love for the Chilmark Community Center started when her children were campers, and then counselors. She was the chair of the CCC has been on the CTAC helping to make the CCC a more welcoming and inviting place for everyone, but especially the children. Morgan loves walking Vineyard beaches, especially with her Portuguese water dogs. When not on the Vineyard, she teaches at Emerson College and privately, and writes. Her memoir, Emptying The Nest: Getting Better at Goodbyes has scenes from the Vineyard in it.

Mathea Morais

Mathea Morais

A year-round resident of Chilmark and has taught at the Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School for fifteen years. She's also the Director of the Literary Arts Program at Featherstone Center for the Arts. Her debut novel, THERE YOU ARE, came out in 2019, and she is currently working on a book for teachers about how to teach creative writing as a method of social justice. She is the proud mother of three incredible daughters who all grew up on Martha's Vineyard.

A passionate community advocate and dedicated father who brings warmth, creativity, and hands-on energy to the CTAC Board. A year-round resident of Martha’s Vineyard, Miles is deeply invested in fostering intergenerational connection and joyful community experiences. Whether pitching in at events or helping shape the Center’s vision, Miles is committed to ensuring CCC remains a vibrant and welcoming space for all.

Jay Brelis-Farrell

Jay Brelis-Farrell

A vital part of the Chilmark Community Center for many years, having previously served as Camp Director, his deep connection to the CCC and passion for youth development continue into Summer 2025, when he returns as the Athletics Operations Director.in addition to his role on the CTAC Board. Jay brings strong leadership, a love for sports, and a commitment to building an inclusive and energetic camp environment where every child can thrive.

Ismail Samad

Ismail Samad

A social entrepreneur, chef, and community builder dedicated to food justice, sustainability, and economic equity. With deep experience in launching mission-driven enterprises and revitalizing local food systems, Ismail brings a strategic and values-driven perspective to the Chilmark Community Center Board. His commitment to community resilience and inclusive engagement supports CCC’s mission to serve as a gathering place for all.
